The Damon brace is a fixed brace , which is fitted to the front of the teeth. It is suitable for all types of crooked teeth. The main advantage of the Damon brace is it straightens teeth by widening the upper and lower jaws so there is less need to take teeth out for your brace treatment.
The Damon brace system is a revolutionary way of treating patients who want straighter teeth, eliminating the need for rubber or metal ties because the braces are self-ligating, using a slide mechanism to hold the wires. This is the most advanced full brace system available, enabling teeth to be moved more quickly into their new position without the use of high forces and instead using light memory wires that require fewer adjustments than traditional braces. In most cases the Damon system does not require the extraction of any healthy teeth, which is better for your overall dental health.
Because the system does not use any rubber ties, which cause pressure, friction and discomfort, as well as being quicker than traditional braces the Damon system is also a lot more comfortable.
We offer two options for Damon braces, either using discreet metal wires and brackets or for maximum discretion the Damon Clear system, which uses tooth-coloured brackets and clear wires, making them barely noticeable.
Virtually invisible, Damon Clear is part of the innovative Damon System, which combines tieless braces with high technology archwires that are clinically proven to move teeth fast and comfortably with truly spectacular smile and facial results.
Dr Malhi treated Chesney Hughes using the Damon Clear Brace System who was delighted with the results
“After meeting with Dr Malhi, he reassured me he could give me the smile I was after using the Damon Clear Brace system. He set out a 12 month plan, which I thought was an extremely short space of time and I have been delighted with the results. Dr Malhi and his staff were very helpful and welcoming. I was abit cautious about how the brace would look and whether it was going to be painful but it was never an issue as I could hardly see my brace when I smiled.” – Chesney Hughes
